Holes-In One For April… uh nope
April Eagles—We had two gentlemen that owned up to the task of being eagle shooters for the month of April, and they did it in fine fashion.
On the 15th of April, Ira Wiener striped his ball perfectly three times to get it to fall in the cup for an eagle 3 on hole #2. That is some mighty fine golfing, my friend.
And then on the 19th, a perennial fan favorite, Matt Gallaway, recorded in eagle 2 on Hole #1. We don’t talk about eagles on this hole that often because they are so difficult.
“I flushed a nine iron from 135, and somehow it went in the hole! It’s better to be lucky than good.” Well done buddy! I hope you do it again many more times.
Now The Age Shooters for April
You say what? Larry Angel shot his stage 3 times in April? He absolutely did.
He shot an 80 on the 4th and 81 on the 6th and then he finished it off with an 83 on the 11th.

Larry told me that he would probably only be shooting his age twice a month from here on out, until he mitigates some of his reoccurring back pain. But don’t count him out, he can probably still take your money while sitting in the cart.
Dave Dimmick “Double D” may have been MIA from this column for over a month, but he was always there in our hearts. That being said he came back with a vengeance in April shooting his age not once, but twice! Mr. Cool posted a 75 on April 5th and then penciled a 78 on the 15th. Nice job, David Dimmick!
And what would this column be without a posting regarding Pres Miranda. The man is money I tell you. He fired an 84 on April 13 and then for safe measure he backed it up with an 85 on the 16th. Pres you’re an inspiration for all of us.
And everybody just loves this gentleman, and they’re delighted for him when he achieves this accomplishment. Tom Nedney blistered a round of 79 on April 24th, to shoot his age once again. One great thing when Tom pulls this off, he and his buddies sincerely know how to celebrate, and they do it properly. Nice shooting, Tom!

Executive Committee Meeting: The Men’s Golf Club Executive Committee meets the first Tuesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. in the Montgomery Center. The next meeting will be on June 2, 2026. MGC Members are always welcome to attend. If you haven’t attended a meeting yet, we welcome you to join us, ask questions, and share your thoughts.
