Tuesday was the third game of the Eclectic Tournament. By the looks of the scores players are improving on various holes each week, which is the point of the game.
Suzanne Roberts was the golf star on Tuesday. Out of 27 players, Suzanne shot a low gross of 35 and a net 15. She wasn’t satisfied with just an awesome score, she also got the only birdie of the day on our longest hole, No. 6. Suzanne joined our club this year and recently volunteered to be our club secretary.
We’re fortunate to have new members stepping up to support the club. Linda McChesney, who joined just a year ago, is already serving as co-captain. The willingness of both new and long-time members to lend a hand is what makes our club such a fun way to spend a Tuesday morning.
I noticed that our Director of Golf, Scott Steele, is starting beginner classes. Golf offers moderate outdoor exercise and social time that can lead to lasting friendships. If that sounds appealing, check out the classes and consider joining us.
