After teasing us with summer type weather earlier in the month, May ended with a few showers, some wind and cool temperatures. Did I say cool, I meant cold.
However, the weather didn’t stop 21 Shonis from playing.
Low gross for the day was Judy Rogers with a 35, a result she posts often. Fellow low-handicap player Joyce Baptiste followed closely with a 36.
Low net was Jonna Robinson, our birthday golfer, with a 16. On the last Tuesday of each month, we celebrate birthdays by allowing the birthday player to deduct one hole from her final score, which usually puts her in the money that week.
We had 13 players shoot par or less. That’s some good golfing. Way to go!
