On June 11 the 18-Hole Ladies Golf Club welcomed 23 ladies from a number of other golf clubs to play in Guest Day. For some of the guests, this was their practice round to prepare for next week’s three-day Whimsical Invitational.

The Whimsical Invitational next week starts with the Goofy’s Derby horse race on Wednesday, June 17. Registration and the parimutuel betting open at 12:30 p.m. that day, followed by Goofy’s Derby at 3 p.m. Players must be at their starting holes by 2:45 p.m. that day. Goofy’s Derby is followed by Ratatouille’s Kitchen BBQ at The Gazebo starting at 5 p.m. The tournament is two days, Thursday and Friday, June 18, and 19. For both days, registration, breakfast, and practice areas will start at 7 a.m. The golf tournament starts with the “A” groups at 8:20 p.m. and the “B” groups at 8:30 a.m. Lunch at the Clubhouse is included for both days of the golf tournament. This promises to be a fun time for players and their guests with a number of on course activities and a putting contest.
