The Villages Men’s Golf Club 56th Evergreen Invitational Golf Tournament, July 9-July 11.
Home and Away—A roster of 12 players from The Villages traveled to the cold and windy, and yet beautiful and historic Green Hills Country Club, in Millbrae, CA. Allistair MacKenzie was in a mood when he designed this one.
They graciously hosted teams from Half Moon Bay, Almaden CC, and of course The Villages GCC. It really was a great day of golf, dinner and laughs, that we will not soon forget. As usual, way too much fun was had by all participants, and the visiting clubs can’t wait to get back there.
A sincere thanks to Mike Tuft, H&A Chairman, for lining these events up for us. They are always memorable.
Our next excursion will take us to The Peninsula GCC, in San Mateo, CA. Formed in 1911 as the Beresford CC, the Peninsula Golf and Country Club is the proud custodian of the only course designed by Donald Ross on the West Coast. Ron Forse upgraded the layout, completing in 2003. This is gonna be a hoot!

Executive Committee Meeting: The Men’s Golf Club Executive Committee meets the first Tuesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. in the Montgomery Center. The next meeting will be July 7, 2026. MGC Members are always welcome to attend.
