We had 32 players and one guest Tuesday, June 16. We only needed four more players to have a foursome on every hole. Looks like the word is out that the Shonis are the golf club to join, if you are a beginner, or a veteran player wanting to hone your short game skills. Many of us also enjoy the shorter time it takes to play the Par 3.
Eleanor Cuenco-Marks and Tami Thompson joined us on the 16th for their first qualifying game. Eleanor is getting back into golf after some time away and Tami is a veteran player new to The Villages.
Congratulations to Joyce Dorsey, Jonna Robinson, and Fran Schumaker, who tied for Tuesday’s low net score of 23. Judy Rogers earned low gross honors with a 37.
Ursula Christiansen needs just one more game to reach the 20-game milestone, which will qualify her for the monthly Captain’s Trophy and the Club Championship.
