America’s 250th Anniversary Celebration Game
What a turnout—30 players! Everyone looked wonderful in their red, white, and blue outfits. Thank you to our Social Coordinator Sabrina Kupperberg for organizing the event decorations, including the sign-in table and Clubhouse luncheon tables. As always, she went above and beyond to make the day festive and fun for everyone.

Tuesday’s contest awarded a prize to the winner in each group on the final hole. The winners were Joyce Baptiste, Marty Blinde, Ursula Christiansen, Dee Garfinkle, Tricia Hardt, Manoli Kelly, Marge Pritchard, Judy Rogers, Meg Rogers, and Peggy White.

Qualifiers
Pam Lorek and Celia Schiffner finished their five qualifying games. Congratulations!

Accomplishments
Tuesday was a memorable day for Co-Captain Judy Rogers. She shot her lowest gross score ever—a 30.

I also want to recognize MaryAnn Haggerty who is in Flight Three and shot a gross 39. She was a winner in the Putting for Pesos contest, too.

Jan Ehrhardt came back after several weeks traveling and got a birdie on hole 5. Looks like the time away didn’t impact her golf game. We began the month with two birdies on June 2 and ended it with two birdies on June 30.

We don’t always celebrate low scores, sometimes frustrating shots deserve recognition, too. Today on hole 7 Co-Captain Linda McChesney saw her ball sail into the pond three times. As a result, Linda will receive a mermaid pin.

The Shonis decked out for Independence Day.
