Holes-in-Ones for June

You know the names… you know their games!

Larry Angel

OK you’re not gonna believe this… hell I’m not sure I actually believe it. On June 3, Larry Angel had a Hole-in-One on the infamous par 3, #11, at the Villages Golf and Country Club, San Jose CA. After talking with Larry he said, “This hole was just becoming too easy for me and presents very little challenge to a man of my ability.” So, what does the “Angel” do, he amped up the degree of difficulty, by teeing the ball up at the very back of the 10 green. He flushed a gap wedge from 185 yards over that hill, the tee boxes and ball washer, and the decoy coyote, and with one swing, he eventually made the ball vanish in the cup. His story not mine…Then after speaking to responsible people that were actually there, they said he hit a 125-yard 8 iron and he successfully completed the Hole-in-One of a lifetime.

Guess what? He had a Hole-in-One too!

Reggie Smith

The post-it above speaks volumes! He probably had to choke down to the metal and take a ¾ swing…juss sayin! Way to go, Reggie! We are delighted for you! Get another one soon buddy!

I’ll have whatever is on the top shelf… and thanks. You are too cool my friend!

Ted Escobar

Now what would the Eagle Shooter section be without an honorable mention of Ted Escobar

You’re probably not gonna believe this, but he eagled #16 yet again, on June 3. I think he has eagled this hole “elenty-two hundred” times. The man is incredible, and he’s got the game to prove it! Way to go Ted!

Now The Age Shooters for June:

Yep… it’s just that simple for these guys!

Pres Miranda

Yes, he was at it again! Pres Miranda went on a streak shooting an 83 on June 1, and 87 on June 8, and finally ending the month with another 87 on the 27! Good for you sir!

Larry Angel

What can you say about Mr. Hole-in-One? He’s good looking… well no, but he’s a really good golfer! Did I mention Larry had a Hole-in-One on June 3, of course we did. But he also shot his age with a blistering 83 on June 10. He does it all.

Dave Dimmick

And of course there’s always the “Double D” himself, Mr. Dave Dimmick. He scorched a 76 on June 1 and followed up at the end of the month with a 78 on June 24. See you here again next month buddy!

Now let’s talk about having a month…This gentleman stood over his golf ball on June 1 and went bananas for the next 30 days! Tom Nedney scored a 79 on June 1, he next had a 77 on June 8, he followed that up with a 79 on June 22, then he recorded a 78 on June 26, and finally he absolutely destroyed the course with the 74 on June 29.

It’s no wonder his posse hangs around him all the time, it’s because he keeps them snockered with birdie juice. You’re awesome, Tom!

Jim Valenti

And finally we finish up with one of the greatest golfers the Villages has probably ever seen. Mr. Jim Valenti has been going out for years and shooting his age over and over again! He has finally reached a milestone of shooting his age for the 600th time!

Every time he goes out he raises the bar higher and higher, to set it to a level that no one will probably ever see reach in our lifetime. He is our very own version of Steph Curry, Tom Brady, Nolan Ryan, and Jerry Rice all rolled into one. But he is way cooler… juss sayin. I can’t wait ‘till you reach 700 times, Jim!

We are all so proud of you.
