What perfect July weather for golf. Our ranks were greatly reduced by many playing Mid-Pen at Palo Alto Hills or on the “injured reserve” list. Be careful out there! Stay well! Judy Rodriguez and Gisele Barber both shot birdies. Janet Gonzales, Gloria Landry, Mazie Rice and Judy Rodriguez split the Chip-In pot. Well done, ladies!
This is the time of year we look for members to coordinate the various tournaments and fun events for the subsequent year. Find a friend and let Mazie Rice know what you would be willing to do. Ladies from past years will all step up to help you and you’ll have a great time.
July 23 is a regular play day but more important, it is the day we collect funds to support the Girls Golf Program at Silver Creek High School. Silver Creek girls will be playing here at the Villages in the prestigious Helen Lengfeld Tournament on Tuesday, September 15. Fielding a team of five players is over $400 so our donations for 2026 will go to support their entry fee. Checks should be made directly to the School with the note “Girls Golf Program.” There will be a box on the registration table each Thursday morning or can be delivered to Diana Hallock’s mail tube.
