Congratulations to Susan Howe and Tami Thompson, who have completed their five qualifying rounds and are on their way to club membership. Bonnie Hagen also joined us for her first qualifying round. We now have six women qualifying for the club. With 54 current members, two newly qualified players, and four still in progress, we are on track to reach 60 members—a club record.
The weather was hot Tuesday, July 14, and so were the scores. Joyce Dorsey chipped in for par on hole 2. Twenty players shot par or better, including three of our qualifiers.
Pam Lorek is our newest official member and won third place in her flight.
Teddy Morse posted the low gross score with a 37. Three qualifiers tied or beat that score: Bonnie Hagen shot 32, Robin Fish shot 35, and Heelie Drury shot 37. Low net ended in a tie, with Marie Colaizzi and Sabrina Kupperberg each shooting a net 23.
Birdies were plentiful: Robin Fish on hole 8, Schinae Ogihara on hole 5, and Pauline Robertson on hole 2. The heat didn’t slow these players down.
