The Club Championship is just a few weeks away! This is a wonderful way to measure your abilities alongside your fellow competitors in a fun environment and come away with a few dollars as well. Remember this is fun, friendly and a fantastic way to enjoy golf.
The event is played just like a regular Sweeps Day, with one fun difference: your scores from two consecutive weeks will be combined. You will play one round on the front nine and one round on the back nine, giving everyone a chance to show off their skills on the entire course.
The Club Champion will be the player with the lowest combined gross score over the two rounds. There will also be two flights, with the top three net players in each flight taking home some money.
Club Champion: $100
First Place in Each Flight: $50
Second Place in Each Flight: $40
Third Place in Each Flight: $30
You must be a primary 9-hole member to participate.
We also have some exciting events coming up:
• Charity of Choice Tournament – This year we have selected Hospice of the Valley as our charity. Please look for more information over the next few weeks.
• Club Challenge – Held on August 11 and August 18. I encourage everyone to participate. There will be lots of prizes awarded during our Christmas Luncheon.
• Eclectic Tournament – Scorecards go on sale August 1 for $10, and the tournament begins September 1. More details will be coming soon.
• Fall Exchange – Scheduled for September 22. Please mark your calendars and see the attached flyer for additional information.
