Our Handicap Director Jan Trusso had a hole-in-one today on Hole 5. Susan Howe and I were fortunate to be playing with her, and it was exciting to see. Jan receives $50, a Hole-in-One pin, and her name on the Hole-in-One plaque donated last year by Joyce Baptiste.
Although Jan’s achievement was the day’s highlight, it was Captain’s Trophy Day and with it strong play and several ties. The low net score and Captain’s Trophy went to Jan Ehrhardt and Joyce Dorsey, who each finished with a net 22. Jan also tied Joyce Baptiste and Judy Rogers for low gross with a 36.
Robin Fish finished her fifth handicap-setting round today. Robin is rejoining us after a year off.
Our new golfers working toward their 20 qualifying rounds also showed their skills today. Heelie Drury shot a gross 36, while Pam Lorek and Tami Thompson each posted a net 22, matching the scores of our Captain’s Trophy and low-gross winners.
