The much-anticipated Championship started this week and fifteen ladies participated. The course played difficult as the rough was longer and thicker than normal, but all the ladies persevered and day two has opportunities for everyone to climb into the lead. Congratulations to Renee Woolard, who had a gross 47 to take the day one lead.

The VGC announced this week that the putting damage on Hole 8 has been resodded and is being rolled every day to get the surface as smooth as possible.
