Congratulations and kudos to Judy Frey and Renee Woolard. They are the low net champions of the M and M tournament held these past two weeks for the 18-hole ladies. These winners were 10 under par after the first day of play. They ended up with a total net of 52 over the two play days, that’s 20 under par. Incredible score! The M and M requires a good meld of team best ball net scores with an eclectic on the second day. The most improved partnership was Gisele Barber and Suzanne Fazzio who improved 12 strokes over their score last week. Gosh! We are good, aren’t we? All scores are recorded on the club website, closest to the pin included. Lots of moola given out in this major tournament for good scores, paying out 4 places low net and low gross in each of four flights. It should be noted that the score spread within the flights was close, a keen competition. Check it out. We are always celebrating with gratitude: the friendship, good sportsmanship, friendly competition and accolades for excellent play within our club. Come play with us!
Hooray and brava on the first day of the M and M in honor of Janelle Salvatierra, who scored a gross 2 for an eagle on #15. Janelle chipped in from about 80 yards, and the golf ball scampered into the hole like a ball well instructed. Let’s all get ahold of Janelle’s petticoats and make it an Audubon Society reunion. Nothing but birdies, eagles and low scores. WOW.
Speaking of birds, today birdies are celebrated for “I’m on a Roll” Janelle Salvatierra #13, “Hit Me Twice” Helen Varenkamp on #7, and #15, Marky Olsen #11, Kathleen Holt #7, Geri Wilk #6, and “One More Time” Priscilla Piper #2 and #14. Well done ladies of the flat stick! Chip-ins were welcome by Vicki Krattli #15, Camille Giuliodibari #10, Geri Wilk #8, “Just Wow” Suzanne Fazzio #6 and #15, Maxine Amundson #5, and Kathy Apgar #12. Champions with wicked wedges! That’s a lot of good golf.
