Men’s 18 Hole Golf Club Club Championship – Match Play
This is going to take place September 12 through September 20. Please sign up in the Pro Shop. They will make the pairings. Rescheduling tee times will not be permitted, so please make sure to plan accordingly to attend this event. Signups are taking place through September 10.
When: Round 1 – Saturday, September 12, Stroke Play Qualifier. Round 2 – Sunday, September 13, Match Play (Top 8 per flight). Round 3 – Saturday, September 19, Match Play (Top 4 per flight). Round 4 – Sunday, September 20, Final Flight Championships.
Note: Play will be conducted over two consecutive weekends. The Pro Shop will make the pairings and assign the tee times. Rescheduling tee times will not be permitted.
What: Club Championship.
Format: 1st round, Stroke Play Qualifier; 2nd, 3rd, 4th rounds, Individual Match Play.
Sign-up: Saturday, Aug. 29 through Thursday, September10, with the Pro Shop. Specify when signing up if you intend to play in the Championship Flight.
Handicaps: 100% of September 10 handicap.
Flights: Flighted, determined by handicap.
Tees: #4, #4/3, #3, and #3/2 tees determined by handicap. Championship Flight will play the #5 tees.
Tee times: TBD.
Cost: $20 plus green fees per round.

A very special thanks to Guy Juarez and Clayton Krinard for putting this tournament together. A lot of hard work goes into planning and executing this tournament, and it showed. You two are truly appreciated by the Men’s Club. And shout out to Scott Steele and the Pro Shop for presenting us with another stellar tournament.

Ball Marks
We are currently having more outside tournaments along with more outside play, and it is clear that those players do not share the same compassion for our greens as we do. Next time you are on the green, reach into your pocket and whip out your pitch mark tool, and repair two ball marks. Show the greens some love! And don’t worry about the guys behind you in the fairway, one, they probably can’t reach you, and two, they will love you for the nice job you did.
Executive Committee Meeting
The Men’s Golf Club Executive Committee meets the first Tuesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. in the Montgomery Center. The next meeting will be October 6, 2026. MGC Members are always welcome to attend. If you haven’t attended a meeting yet, we welcome you to join us, ask questions, and share your thoughts. We sincerely encourage more members to get involved. See you there!
