Thursday proved to be a beautiful day for golf and competing for September Captain’s Trophy. The days are getting shorter and the weather a little less predictable, so it was nice to enjoy a warm sunny day. The Captain’s Trophy winner with a great round of net 64 is In Kim. Low putts winner was Camille Giuliodibari with only 28 putts required. Please note that Camille practices putting every day and practice does pay off. Today there were four birdies made: Camille G had two on 6 and 7; Jini Kang on 9; and Jay Lee on 7. There were five chip-ins made: Bev Poellot on 5; Betty Sharps on 16; In Kim on 4; Jay Lee on 7 (it converted a birdie); and Patti Bell on 15. Good shooting, ladies. Keep it up for the 18 Hole Women’s Club Championship over the next two weeks.
After the Club Championship on September 17, the annual Hole in One party will be held at 4 p.m. at Cribari. In addition to toasting our hole-in-one shooter — Renee Woolard — the club will be drawing players for the four Village Challenge Teams. The Village Challenge is a team match play event and will be played on October 6, 13, and 20. Contact Janet Gonzales if you would like to play.
Looking forward to crowning the Club Champion this month.
