On September 15, it was a lovely fall day of golf, and especially good for Emily Li, who got the only birdie of the day on hole #13. Congratulations to her, and to the following ladies for chip-ins: Emily Li #13, Jay Lee #13, Gloria Lowry #12, Suzanne Fazzio #10, Marky Olsen #3 and Marion Whittaker #14.
Speaking of fall, next Tuesday, September 22, we have 83 ladies signed up for the Fall Foursomes Exchange. Check-in is at 8 a.m. for a 9 a.m. shotgun start for nine holes of a four-person team step-aside scramble. For our exchange, we have 47 members with 36 guests from other clubs in the area. Since we have lots of ladies playing, it’s important the members park in the spot corresponding to their starting hole, as the Shonis will need to use the parking spots by the Clubhouse and putting green.
As a reminder, our club has a new event, which is the Sip & Swap on Friday, September 25 at Foothill Center from 2 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. There will be complimentary wine and cheese while shopping for some gently used treasures. To qualify for this shopping event, members need to go to Gisele Barber’s house, 9043 Village View Loop, and drop off at least three, but not more than 15, gently used, unwanted golf items. Gisele will have a bin at her front door. Don’t forget to put your names on the bag of items so that we know who gets admission into the Sip & Swap.
