Pulse Letters

The Villager "Pulse" Letter serves as a vehicle for residents and owners to express opinions or to make suggestions or comments to the community at large. Volunteer members of the Communications Advisory Committee are here to help you by reviewing letters submitted for publication.

Pulse Letter Submission Guidelines

The Villager accepts letters for publication in complete or abridged form at the discretion of the Managing Editor.

Letters must be in accordance with rules established by the Club Board of Directors.

Each letter can deal with only one specific topic related to life in The Villages.

One Pulse letter per month per person is allowed. Letters can not be queued for publication in multiple weeks.

Letters are reviewed for proper content. You will be contacted by a member of the Communications Advisory Committee with advice to help you correct any discrepancies. Below is a brief summary of the criteria used to screen letters. If letters contain the following, they will be rejected.

  1. Statements that cannot be substantiated by the author.
  2. Language insulting to individuals or groups.
  3. Political opinions or endorsements pertaining to elections within The Villages.
  4. Partisan political opinions or endorsements pertaining to elections or ballot measures external to The Villages.
  5. Recommendations of products or services other than from clubs and organizations within The Villages.
  6. Language that discriminates with regard to race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual preference, or violates The Villages harassment Rule.
Check this box to confirm that you read and agree to the guidelines.
